  • Photography Walks for Bellbeing

A few months ago I joined a Facebook group that meets monthly, generally in the morning of the first Friday of the month. Those who gather are given an assignment and then we all head out to create our own photographs which aim to provide a solution to the challenge before catching up again at the end for coffee and a chat. It’s enjoyable and since I don’t work on Friday any more, it’s also a convenient way to challenge myself and work on my skill.

This month we were tasked with taking photographs which show that something is missing from the scene. It was raining lightly, but that didn’t stop us all from getting into it.

  • First post!

I decided to do some experimenting with black and white on Sunday.

I really leaned into creating images with an old feel and had a heap of fun doing it. I walked from Collingwood to the Queen Victoria Market and I was spoilt for choice of subject.

Melbourne has such a mixture of old and new architecture and the market was bustling with people shopping for the great selection of produce you can find here.

My favourite photos were the delicatessen at the QVM and the building and tram at the corner of Gertrude and Brunswick Streets.
